Dear Friends and Family,
I can’t believe that it’s already September! I feel like I was just writing the newsletter for August-- this last month flew by!
There isn’t a lot to tell of from this last month, we weren’t able to be as active in our day-to-day ministry as we would have liked such as doing worship nights and discipleship on a regular basis, although the activities that replaced them were good ones. We were able to do some worship nights and of course we have been continuing with and enjoying the Bible college/discipleship course we’re in with our community group, but pretty much all of our time the second half of this month was spent planning and budgeting and buying materials for and doing the labor on a huge blessing of a project, replacing the roof on Mario’s mom’s house. The house is fairly old and the roof was to the point where any time it rained they had to have buckets all over the house to catch all of the rain that came pouring in from holes in the roof. FSI received a very generous donation for the project and we were able to get it done over the last few weeks. Such a blessing!
In other news, we are moving! Just a couple of houses over, but a house just recently became available to rent. Sadly, it’s still not really an option for having our cafe there, but we’re thankful to have found a house that we won’t have to move out of for a few months every year. The owner of the house we’re currently renting recently informed us that he’s coming for three months starting in December, so we’re glad to not have to worry about that anymore! We’re still praying about buying land and building as that would be a long-term goal of ours, especially to be able to have the cafe right there on the same property, but at least for now we’ll have a house that will be mostly ours and we'll have the freedom to host and have open doors to invite people in as much as we can! We’ve been in the process of packing and cleaning the new house and we hope to move over tomorrow.
Thank you all for your support and for your prayers. We continue to be blessed by God’s faithfulness and your generosity!
Blessings,
Katie and Mario

I am grateful to meet you. I did not imagine that I would enjoy so much reading these memoirs of what Jesus Christ is doing through you my brothers. They are loved very much. A double hug for the tummy and that dad who no longer fits with happiness.
